I see what you mean about the bass, I wouldnt scrap it, just thin it on the eq'ing. There is a lot of room for more instrumentation and a melody.
As soon as the beat drops the compression just kills the track.
reminds me a bit melodically of a flip of "Diamonds are Forever" I did. I feel there is room for more to this beat, a great starting point for a banger I think.
Heres an old beat Ive brought up to date, mixed it in headphones so have no real idea what it sounds like played on speakers, until I get to the studio to mixdown properly this is what Im working with.
Also heres a bashment track Ive just mixed in headphones, not hip hop, but the hip hop influence is in all my bashment. Would really like to hear your opinions on this one.

@NONONSENSEBEATS Idk man i think the bass works maybe add some saturation to bring out some low mids.
@thizzbeatz I'd add distortion to that 808 and probably comp the drums.
@2GooD Productions The first one sounds like it could be used in film idk thats the first thing i thought
the second one tho was fire kick might be a little boomy but then again they do call it Boom Bap for a reason

Thanks for taking the time to be bothered to check out my tracks. You seem to be the only one. You are probably right about the kick, its really hard to get the low end right in headphones. I appreciate your ears, I can hear in your work that you have an exceptional ear. I dont think you really need any advice from me, but I will always check out your stuff, Ive quickly become a bit of a fan.
