Buying a new sound card: WILL I REALLY HEAR A MAJOR difference?
Buy the one you can afford. The mose expensive soundcard in the world is not gonna make your tracks sound better. It will just make it sound clear. Create 2 separate mixerz..... you need to click on the mixer to highlight it, right click and go to create. then from there just create a compressor. drum change-ups...
Just make a basic drum pattern, then change up the way your play the sounds ( Kick, snare, hi-hat). Make it different then the last pattern, but not so different it throws the whole beat off. The 14:2 mixer in reason has EQ's on every track. They just have to be turn on to work, or you can highlight your device (Mixer, drum machine, dr. rex, etc) right click on the device and create an EQ. Its called the PEQ two band parametric eq.
