Let's start in the basement of Doc$trange's house circa 2001. Doc$trange, then, DJ That's Right had started to build his studio from gear he could afford buy from local music stores in the northern part of Chicagoland area named Waukegan. As a service to his extended family including underground rap artist, Johnny Gunnz , Doc Da Mindbenda , Gurg Sir Skum, Insydiuz, Merciless, and many more concentrated street artist in his hometown. Influenced heavy by famous producers like Easy Easy Mo Bee, J Dilla, RZA, and personal favorite DJ Premier. For years Doc$trange and Doc Da Mindbenda honed their skills. Where Doc$trange found love for Turntablism, one of the four elements of Hip-Hop which had saved his life in the 90's. Doc Da Mindbenda on the beat. Then the most mazing thing happened he created his masterpiece. His daughter (Mimi). He took little breaks from the basement producing for a while to take care of his family. He still made beats, but started finding a love for scratching more, more. After going through a series of unfortunate events he has been doing his thing practicing coming up with different styles and formulas trying to make people understand that without the Vinyl or old music. No Genre of music is alive they are all dead. He has a roster of MC's that he has worked with thanks to Doc Da Mindbenda and his Grind-house grind. He is back to show his peoples his team he has what it takes. I recommend an audiophile headphones for any of our works (DM) FX!
