    mic pre amp question

    I use a Neumann U87 (mic) going into a UA6176 (pre amp & compressor) then finally into a apogee rosetta 200 (a/d converter) and mogami wires connecting everyting. These pieces are kind of pricey but if you have a ear for quality you will realize why quickly

    You want to "time stretch" either the beat or the vocal. Time stretching will prevent the pitch from being altered. If the beat is 103 find out what the acapella is simply by looping a section of it then adjusting the BPM in your DAW. Then enter original tempo as well as desired tempo and time...

    I typically like to have several current projects to rotate through. I may create 3 beat ideas that just have some drums and a basic piano for an 8 bar loop, and then cycle through them. The one that moves me the most is the one I put more time into.

    Studio question for everyone

    Lately for me it has been computer problems. Ever since I updated to Yosemite I have had issues with midi devices and usb devices like my Maschine Studio. Some plugins stopped working and I constantly have to restart or even a hard shut down. Work flow KILLER!
